Services Overview

Services Offered

Dentistry For Health New York® is proud to be a Sustainable Dentistry® practice, offering innovative and state-of-the-art dental services to help you obtain and maintain optimal overall wellness.

Saliva Testing

Both gingivitis and advanced periodontal disease must be treated to preserve the health of your mouth — and your body. To fully understand the extent of disease progression even before physical symptoms become noticeable, our team has received training on using a specialized saliva diagnostic testing device, bacterial microscopic analysis and associated oral microbiome laboratory analyses.

Dental Implants

Biocompatible dental implants are the perfect choice for patients who want the best for their oral health. With natural-looking tooth-colored abutments, strong carbon-ceramic construction, and high natural restoration ability in terms of aesthetics and longevity, our ZERAMEX® metal-free dental implants are a reliable, healthy option for missing teeth.

Diabetic Dental Care

The cornerstone of our practice is the oral-systemic link, meaning that your teeth and gum health are linked to your overall body health. This is especially important for people with diabetes. Numerous studies have linked diabetes to periodontal disease, tooth loss and bone loss, mouth ulcers, and cavities. Let us provide you with the ultimate dental care for diabetic and pre-diabetic patients.

Laser Gum Therapy

We all know that it is important to brush, floss, and irrigate our gums, but there is also a lot more you can do to keep your gums healthy. If you’ve been told that you are going to need gum surgery, we invite you to schedule an oral evaluation. We would like to show you that there is a better way using state-of-the-art equipment and minimally-invasive gum therapy.

TMJ/TMD Treatment

TMJ/TMD Treatment icon

TMJ stands for temporomandibular joints. However, it is also often used to describe temporomandibular joint disorders (TMJD). When these joints are out of place, they may cause problems, such as clicking or popping, pain in or around the jaw joints, locking or a limited opening of your mouth, and more. At Dentistry for Health NY we can determine if you have TMJ/TMD and discuss the treatment options.

Pediatric Dentistry

Pediatric Dentistry icon

We love kids! We educate children and parents to promote healthy oral hygiene, diets, and lifestyles. In our office, we explore the most advanced information pertaining to oral health in children. We implement this knowledge and provide personalized treatment to each child based upon his or her specific needs.

Pinhole Surgical Technique™

Pinhole Surgical Technique™ icon

The Pinhole Surgical Technique™ is a minimally invasive gum recession treatment. Unlike traditional grafting techniques, PST™ is incision- and suture-free. Traditional gum recession treatments involve the use of donor tissue or soft tissue grafts to rebuild the gumline. While grafting is relatively effective, more predictable results with a better overall patient satisfaction can be achieved through PST™.

Platelet-Rich Fibrin

Platelet-Rich Fibrin icon

Platelet Rich Fibrin permits the body to take advantage of the normal healing pathways at a greatly accelerated rate. Platelets perform many functions, including formation of a blood clot and release of growth factors (GF) into the wound. These GFs function to assist the body in repairing itself by stimulating stem cells to regenerate new tissue.

Perio Protect

This cutting-edge treatment for periodontal (gum) disease is FDA-cleared. It controls gum disease at the source using non-invasive techniques without resorting to painful surgeries. Perio Protect technology delivers the right amount of medicine directly to the infected area to halt bleeding and inflammation, increase collagen in gum tissue, stop bone loss, and stimulate bone repair.

IV Sedation Dentistry

We know full well that for many, the dentists’ office can be a very intimidating and overwhelming place. We can help eliminate the anxiousness, fear, and stress you experience at the dental office. We are certified to perform conscious IV Sedation so you can peacefully drift through any treatment without a care in the world.

Laser Treatment for Herpes

Laser Treatment for Herpes icon

Herpes simplex is a common recurrent infection. Our special lasers don’t just accelerate the healing of a current outbreak, they also reduce the chances that another outbreak will occur. Most importantly, our innovative laser treatment for herpes reduces healing time from weeks to days and ensures that you — and your smile — can confidently go wherever you wish!

HPV Testing

Laser Treatment for Herpes icon

Human Papillomavirus (HPV) is the leading cause of oral cancer, associated with 70% of cases.* The presence of Human Papillomavirus (HPV) in the oropharyngeal tract is considered a precursor for the development of squamous epithelial dysplasia or neoplasia.

A simple oral saline rinse is all that is needed to test for HPV types 16, 18 and other high-risk types.

Functional Orthodontics

Laser Treatment for Herpes icon

Functional Orthodontics consists of not only straightening a person’s teeth, but repositioning the upper and lower jaws to create a better profile.

If there is a weak chin or misalignment of either jaw the bite will be thrown off. This could lead to producing migraines, neck and shoulder pain, dizziness, sleep apnea, hearing problems, TMJ, upper airway obstruction and poor facial profiles.

CO² Laser

IV Sedation Dentistry icon

A CO² laser uses carbon dioxide to generate energy that vaporizes the water found in soft tissues, providing quick, accurate cutting, with minimal bleeding. Lasers are well-suited for dental surgical procedures. The CO² laser is one of the gentlest, and most highly effective, tools at our disposal.

Thermography

Thermography icon

Thermography is designed to measure inflammation and can identify precise heat patterns within your body. These patterns may reveal an underlying physical condition, abnormal situation, or early signs of disease. We recommend that our patients use thermography to proactively safeguard their health by regularly measuring inflammation in their bodies.

Body Talk

Body Talk icon

Your body is designed to heal itself. This is a natural process that happens when all your body parts and systems work together. When stress (physical, emotional, mental, and environmental) causes the natural communication lines to break down, pain, illness, and dis-ease can occur. BodyTalk uses a gentle tapping technique to restore communication and activate the body’s ability to heal itself.
